Lenovo USB-to-DVI Monitor Adapter

The ability to connect multiple monitors to a single computer system is
something that can certainly save a lot of time and money when it comes
to productivity. This is especially true when you're talking about
laptops with less-than-sizable screens. It used to be that you had to
hunt down a DVI connector so you could connect a larger monitor to your
laptop and even then you were limited on both resolution and number of
screens. The Lenovo USB-to-DVI monitor adapter is set to change all of
that. Now you can connect up to six separate HD monitors to your laptop
or desktop PC using only your USB 2.0 ports.
The Lenovo USB-to-DVI Monitor Adapter just made adding multiple
high-resolution (HD) resolution monitors a helluva lot easier. Now you
can increase your personal productivity to help your bosses squeeze even
more work out of you for less money by doubling or tripling your visual
2D-business graphics workspace. And isn't that what we all want? You can
add as many as six additional monitors, or three for ThinkPad switchable
graphics, to a single system. You'll need a separate adapter for each
monitor, though, which means you'll need several open USB ports or a hub
to take full advantage.
According to Lenovo, set-up is simple. You install the supplied device
driver and toolbar software, connect the supplied cable to your monitor
and to the Lenovo USB-to-DVI Monitor Adapter, then plug the cable into
an available USB port on your computer. The supplied software allows you
to select the desired screen resolution and portrait-landscape image
orientation. Since the adapter uses its own graphics processor it will
definitely put a tax on your system performance, so you should make sure
your system is able to handle the extra load.
The Lenovo USB-to-DVI Monitor Adapter supports 16:10 widescreen monitors
up to 1920 x 1200 resolution and 16:9 widescreen monitors up to 2048 x
1152 resolution, including 1920 x 1080 native HD resolution. It also
features a DVI-I digital video output for enhanced sharpness and
clarity. You can directly attach a DVI digital monitor or a VGA analog
monitor using the provide DVI-to-VGA monitor adapter and you're good to
go. Also, monitors can be configured for landscape horizontal or
portrait vertical viewing for 90-, 180-, and 270-degree image rotation.
You can purchase your own Lenovo USB-to-DVI Monitor Adapter for $129
each at www.shop.lenovo.com.
