Brother Debuts HL-3000 & MFC-9000 Series Business Laser Printers

Brother have added to the HL-3000 and MFC-9000 series lineup with three
new multifunction printers and two color laser printers, most of which
are targeting small businesses. Based on the same LED engine, these are
Brother's first color laser offerings for that market.

The HL-3000 series are designed for small and home-based offices , while
the MFC-9000 consists of multi-functional printers. The new additions to
the HL-3000 series are the HL-3040CN and the HL-3070CW, and the new
models in the MFC-9000 series are the MFC-9010CN, MFC-9120CW and the
MFC-9320CW.

The HL-3040CN has a printing speed of 17ppm in both color and
monochrome, with a 600×2400 dpi resolution. It can hold up to 250
sheets of paper in the loading tray and can be connected either by
Ethernet or USB 2.0. It should be available later this month with a
price tag of $300. Quite similar, the HL-3070CW adds Wi-Fi connectivity,
support for PCL6 and BR-Script3 emulation and direct USB printing from
flash storage devices. It will be available this month at $350.

Brother MFC-9010CN combines print, scan and copy functionalities with
printing speeds of up to 17 ppm. Like the HL-series counterparts, the
device has a 250 sheet feeder, supports resolutions of up to
600×2400 dpi and can be connected by either Ethernet or USB. The
MFC-9120CW is a higher end version of the 9010CN with many of the same
features, but adds Super G3 faxing capability. Last but not least,
Brother MFC-9320CW sports WiFi and direct printing support from USB
flash drives. All the three models will be available in October and will
be priced at $400, $450 and $500 respectively.
