AT&T to Roll Out the iPhone MMS Feature Today

Today, AT T is rolling out the iPhone MMS feature, meaning that late
morning Pacific Time users get to download the new MMS carrier settings
from iTunes and, if things work smoothly, will be able to start sending
picture messages right away.

Although they've done a great job in waiting for the whole deal, AT T
announced on Facebook that it's official, US users are getting
multimedia messages on their iPhones. We know you ve been eager for
this service so we wanted to offer a quick update on the launch plans
for MMS on Friday, Sept. 25. Late morning, Pacific Time, on Friday, the
new carrier settings update enabling MMS should be live and ready to
download through iTunes. We ll provide the steps and all of the details
you need right here at that time, they said.

Although the news brings a smile to our faces, two issues come to mind.
First one is the fact that some have reported that they already got the
iPhone update, but MMS is not working for them. Another interesting
approach is that the record volumes of messages that are expected to
pour in are going to bring AT T's network down.

So have you updated your iPhone, can you send MMS?
