HTC Trophy Specs, Features & Pictures Available Too Bad It’s Just a Fantasy Phone for Now

The phone in the picture here is the HTC Trophy, a Windows Mobile 6.5
handset which looks like it s waiting for the official OS upgrade. The
device looks pretty good but the render is not all that perfect. Yes,
folks, you guessed it, the image is not an official HTC release. In fact
it s not even a rumor but just the work of a fan.
Nevertheless it s st
ill interesting to take a look at it in order to see what Windows Mobile
fans expect from HTC s future mobile phones especially with Windows
Mobile 7 coming soon.
The Trophy is going to be a candybar handset that will combine both a
large and pretty generous touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard.
Here s a full list of specs imagined for the Trophy:Size: 119 x 58.36 x
11 mm dualband WCDMA/HSPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity
Windows Mobile 6.5 3.0-inch VGA capacitive touchscreen display
5-megapixel camera with auto focus 512MB flash, 256MB RAM microSD
support 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Bluetooth 2.1+EDR GPS and AGPS 1400mAh battery
Accelerometer 3.5mm headphone jack microUSB connectivity FM radio
TouchFLO 3D 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor
As you can see the Trophy won t surprise you with any extraordinary
specs and features. In fact judging from what we can see so far the
device might not even be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 7 as it doesn t
really fit with Microsoft s requirements for the upcoming OS.
The HTC Trophy should arrive later this year and might be officially
introduced at the MWC 2010. Even if it won't run Windows Mobile 7 you
have to admit, a phone that combines a 3-inch touchscreen with a full
QWERTY keyboard sounds pretty interesting. If all the specs and features
above get confirmed then the HTC Trophy might just be a better choice
than RIM's hybrid phone, the BlackBerry Magnum, a handset that we've
seen in action here just the other day. Which one would you choose?
