Palm Pre Plus & Palm Pixi Plus Prices Revealed New Palm Pre Plus & Pixi Plus to Cost $150 & $100 at Verizon Wireless

During CES 2010 we got word that Verizon is going to launch a bunch of
new webOS phones. We didn't get very excited as we knew Verizon was
going to sell the Pre and the Pixi this year. But Big Red had some
different plans regarding those phones. Verizon wants to sell upgraded
Pre and Pixi models which are called the
Palm Pre Plus and the Palm Pixi Plus.
We're still not that excited about them since the new phones do not
bring that many extra features to the table. The Pre Plus comes with
more memory, 16GB instead of the regular 8GB while the Pixi Plus comes
with a welcome addition, Wi-Fi support. Nonetheless for some people
these might be key features that will help them decide in favor of a Pre
Plus or a Pixi Plus.
And it looks like the official prices of those webOS smartphones got
leaked already. The Palm Pre Plus will cost $149.99 after a $100 mail-in
rebate and with a new 2-year contract from Verizon while the Palm Pixi
Plus is going to be available for $99.99 after a similar mail-in rebate
and with a new 2-year agreement. Furthermore the Pixi Plus should be
available with a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) promotion which means that you
could walk away with two Pixies from Verizon stores for the price of one
as long as you re willing to sign two new contracts with Big Red.
I don t know about you but I m still waiting for Palm to release new
webOS phones. According to an earlier leaked roadmap from Sprint, a
certain Palm C40 is going to be released by the carrier this year. Is
that the next-gen webOS phone we are waiting for?
With MWC 2010 just around the corner one could only hope that Palm will
unveil some hot new handsets. In the mean time those of you that still
love the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus idea should get ready for a January 25
launch.
