myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition Launched by T-Mobile & Eric Clapton myTouch 3G Fender Android Phone Arrives on January 20

Today is an important day in the world of both music and Android
handsets. T-Mobile
USA together with legendary guitarist Eric Clapton have announced
today a new Android phone. Well, in all honesty, the myTouch 3G is not a
new phone but the Fender Limited Edition is definitely something music
enthusiasts will be enthusiastic about. The phone will arrive on January
20 and you ll notice it on TV in various commercials and ads featuring
Eric Clapton. The myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition will be available
for $179.99 with a new two-year T-Mobile agreement. You must be a really
big music fan in case you will choose this Android phone over, say, the
Motorola Droid or the Google Nexus One.
But the Fender edition does look different and it s definitely going to
be an unique Android handset. The phone has been designed in partnership
with Fender and it has been inspired by the Fender guitar
sunburst-finish. When it comes to features, you should expect the Fender
edition to offer you pretty much what the regular myTouch 3G already does.
But the phone also has some special features like the 16GB microSD card
ready to house thousands of songs/videos and the more than welcomed
3.5mm headset jack waiting for your headphones.
Mark Van Vleet, senior vice president of Business Affairs, Fender
Musical Instruments had this to say about the new toy:
In a modern culture that forms an essential bond between music, mobile
devices and one s individual lifestyle, Fender is very proud to partner
with T-Mobile on the exclusive new T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Limited
Edition. This is an exciting and innovative way to connect people to
their passion for great music wherever they go, and we are thrilled to
share this news with our customers and fans.
Speaking of fans, they will be happy to discover preloaded content on
the myTouch 3G Fender that includes songs from Eric Claptopn, Wycleaf
Jean, Avril Lavigne and Brad Paisley. Furthermore the device will have
some neat accessories available soon, the Fender-branded shells, a
Fender carrying case, screen protector and a docking station. Any takers?
