Acer have added to their convertible d
esigned devices with the 11.6-inch new Acer Aspire 1820PTZ and by the
looks of it the machine has just started selling in Singapore, ahead of
its London much anticipated debut. A tablet/notebook combo that has both
the looks and the power to win our hearts over the new Aspire 1820PTZ
brings a multi-touch screen (looks a bit too reflective) for uniquely
flexible use and an ultra-low-voltage processor for extra battery life
of up to 8 hours on a single charge.
Weighing in at 1.72kilos and measuring a good 11.22 x 8.22 x 1.12/1.36
inches, the solid 1820PTZ convertible runs on a 1.2GHz Intel SU2300
processor, has 2GB of RAM memory, a 250GB hard drive, Wireless
(802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth connectivity.
Also under the hood there are Intel graphics that promise to deliver
high level entertainment with brilliant visuals and Windows 7 Home
Premium (64-bit) pre-installed, while optionally you're getting 3G
connectivity and an HDMI port to connect it to that HDTV of yours.
Not a bad deal if you ask us, but the โEUR599 that it should sell for
when announced in Europe is not that affordable …
