Sony Ericsson Satio Back On Sale Following Bug, Firmware Update, Satio is Back On Sale In the UK

Late last month, reports of a serious software glitch affecting the Sony
Ericsson Satio began hitting the web. The bug reportedly caused the
handhelds to shutoff when you used certain applications. This caused
some phone se
llers in the UK to pull the phone – during Sony Ericsson's
high-profile marketing campaign.
But after two firmware patches, the Sony Ericsson Satio is now back on
sale by the retailers that banned it. Although Sony didn't release an
official changelog with the updates (other than improves speed and
fixes software issues ), the software issues haveย apparentlyย fixed the
issues with the Satio.
The Aino was also affected by some issues and is back on sale. A third
phone, the Sony Ericsson Yari, also got the same update, although it
wasn't pulled from shelves or plagued with softwareย instability. Phones
4u, one of the shops that pulled the Satio, said that their stock of
Satios has all gotten the update, and has already begun selling the
handhelds again. The Satio is now shipping and will cost you pound
sterling435 (about $708) without a plan.
