Acer Aspire 1820PT Hits US Acer Shows Off 1820PT Laptop-Tablet Convertable, Packs Core 2 Duo

Acer's Aspire 1820PT, which previously was released only in Australia,
features a laptop-tabletย convertibleย design with an ample touchscreen.
Americans are getting a Christmas surprise as Acer
isย apparentlyย planning to bring the device to American shores as it
appeared on their US website.
The Aspire 1820PT packs a 11 touchscreen display that can fold into a
tablet-style form factor. It comes with a Intel Core 2 Duo (no
clockspeed released), 4GB of DDR3, a 160GB hard
drive,ย integratedย video, a built-in webcam and Windows 7. As you can
see, for
something that is on the verge of being a netbook/tablet, it's pretty
powerful.
Acer released the Aspire 1820 in Australia last month, but here's the
interesting part. The laptop appeared on Acer's American website, but
with no price, date or any other further mention of when it's going to
be shipped to the States.
