Dell is obviously not happy with the fact that the Taiwanese from Acer
have kicked them off from the second place slot in the world's PC
manufacturer rankings, hence why, as of late, they're doing everything
possible to get media attention. If last week Michael Dell broke it that
the company is actually going to bring their Android smartphone to the
US, today we caught wind that all those Dell MID rumors are actually
true and that the Dell Streak is real.
Nothing official as of now, except for a prototype model codenamed Dell
Streak that comes with a 5-inch WVGA 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen
display that has multi-touch zooming (nice), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G
WWAN connectivity. On top of that, the Android 2.0 powered MID also
features a 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, a microSD card slot
for expansion and a 1,300mAh battery to power all these goodies.
Although it doesn't seem to be that pocketable , we're in for a Dell
Streak, but other than these pictures we're waiting for more info to break.
Meanwhile, it's a good step for Dell who're earning their ranks back. At
least that's how things look from our offices!
