HP Compaq L2105tm Widescreen Touchscreen Monitor 21" HP L2105 MultiTouch 1080p Panel Introduced Ahead of Windows 7 Debuts

Remember Dells's SX2210T multitouch touchscreen monitor, Well it looks
like they'reย not the only ones to take advantage of tomorrow's debut
of Windows 7. Joining the bandwagon, there's HP who have just announced
their new 21-inch Compaq L2105tm 1080p panel that boasts an optical
sensor to read two-point touch input coming from either the dedicated
hard stylus or your fingers.

Dubbed as the company's first Windows 7 multitouch certified monitor,
the HP Compaq L2105tm widescreen comes with an optical touch panel
technology meant to improve the touch accuracy which leads to work
performance and productivity (of course not if you play with your sticky
fingers on it all day).

On top of that there's 1080p Full HD video quality, an 170-degree
viewing angle, 1,000:1 static contrast ratio and a 5ms pixel response
time. There's both DVI and VGA input, a built-in two-watt speakers
system and an USB slot to get your touch signal if you're not using
Windows 7 but other platforms that can recognize it.

The HP Compaq L2105tm multitouch touchscreen monitor starts at $299,
with the panel available starting tomorrow as you'd expect, but
shipments begin next week.
