Quite an impressive piece of technology that has caused some serious
drooling for the craving geeks from TFTS, Acer s first laptop to boast
3D capabilities somehow has managed to leak online, last week, and we
had our take on it. Today however, the new Acer Aspire 5738DG has gone
official and this time we managed to get our hands on the full list of
specs and a price.

The Acer Aspire 5738DG starts with Intel core 2 Duo T6600 processors,
runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and features a 15.6-inch TriDef 3D
screen that does 1366 x 768 resolutions. Graphics for the new 5738DG are
handled by an ATI Radeon HD 4570 card with 512MB of RAM (dedicated), for
up to 2304MB (HyperMemory), there's a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM,
Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g/n) and DVD player for those movies of yours.

As for viewing on the new 5738DG, there's Acer's 3D CineReal technology
which adds a special screen coating that the polarizing glasses
recognizes and transforms to 3D. On top of that there's the TriDef 3D
Experience and TriDef Ignition software bundle which allows for 3D movie
playback and 2D to 3D conversions, respectively.

Unlike previously reported, the new Acer Aspire 5738DG will sell just
shy off $779.99. We're in for a test run if anyone out there cares!
