Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Touchscreen Phone Price Confirmed Xperia X2 Pricing Slipped by Sony Ericsson Exec

We've covered the already much hyped Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 touchscreen
phone here on TFTS a couple of times but, until now, we've been unable
to offer any unit pricing details but, thanks to a purported Sony
Ericsson executive getting a little loose lipped, it seems that the
Xperia X2 will come in at under what has been initially speculated.
Initially rumoured to come it at around a pretty hefty $1200 (circa
800EUR) at the point of release it now seems, should this report prove
founded (and we should stress at this stage that Sony Ericsson are yet
to either confirm or deny the report) that the Xperia X2 is set to
retail for around $880 (circa 600EUR) – which, when viewed against
the likes of the HTC Touch Pro 2 seems pretty reasonable considering the
Xperia X2 touts an 8.1 megapixel camera with dual flash (to name quite
possibly its biggest draw).

We await either confirmation or a denial from Sony Ericsson concerning
the purported Xperia X2's price point and will, of course, update you
should either prove forthcoming but, in the meantime, and specifically
for those yet to become acquainted with what the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2
brings to the table in terms of features, here's a quick, at a glance
rundown.
