OK, it s finally happened. Someone out there, namely Sony Ericsson, has
decided that the world of headphones could use a real innovation. Now I
m not talking about adding rare earth magnets or lights that pulse along
with the beat of your tunes (both of which have already been done), I m
talking about a completely new innovation that is certain to get your
attention. Sony Ericsson has announced today the launch of their new
MH907 motion-activated headphones and they just might change the way you
look at headphones from now on.
The Sony Ericsson MH907 headphones feature a really cool
motion-activation technology that is sure to save you both time and
frustration when it comes to making and receiving calls on your wireless
device. Say you re jamming along to your favorite song on your Sony
Ericsson phone. Normally, you d have to pause the song, select answer,
and start chatting. With the new MH907 earbuds, you simply remove one of
the headphones from your ear and it automatically pauses your music and
accepts the call. You don t have to fumble for little buttons or slider
bars. It seems pretty intuitive to me.
Once you re done with your call, you simply reinsert the headphone and
off you go. Sony Ericsson has patented the technology and is calling it
SensMe. It not only works when you have to make or receive a call, it
works to control the music function of the phone as well. Remove an
earbud, pause the music. Insert both earbuds and the phone s music
player starts automatically. The MH907 Motion-Activated Headphones are
available in both yellow and chrome and will retail for about $55. There
is a catch, though. They re only compatible with Sony Ericsson phones
that have a fast port, so you should check the compatibility of yours at
