NEC Adds EA231WMi LCD Display to MultiSync Line 23-in Monitor, 16:9 Widescreen, Automated Brightness Sensor

Monitors designed for business solutions are known for their high-end
features like energy-saving brightness detectors and enhanced viewing
angles and the latest product introduction from LCD display manufacturer
NEC is certainly no different. The NEC MultiSync EA231WMi has all of the
bells and whistles one would expect from an expensive LCD display and
some interesting extras that just might make the higher price tag easier
to swallow.

NEC Display Solutions of America announced today that they are preparing
to launch the MultiSync EA231WMi, a 23-in desktop monitor with a 16:9
widescreen display for use in enterprise business environments,
education and government applications. This high-end enterprise monitor
debuts several advanced features, starting with an IPS panel, which
provides an increased viewing angle and better image stability.

The EA231WMi is NEC's first desktop display exhibiting DisplayPort
technology, delivering a diverse amount of additional input connectors.
It sports a one-touch button for ECO Mode that enables users to choose
between two energy-savings modes, as well as the off selection.
Additionally, the EA231WMi premieres an automated brightness feature
that uses an ambient light sensor to detect the brightness level of the
environment and adjusts the display with the best brightness setting,
saving significant energy.

A partial list of features of the EA231WMi includes:

4-way ergonomic stand (110-mm height adjust, pivot, tilt and swivel)
Two-step ECO Mode for significant power consumption savings
Three-step ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment
Carbon footprint meter for tracking of carbon savings
