MSI Debuts C-Series Low Budget Notebooks MSI CX600, CR600-013, CR600-017, CX700 and CR700 Announced

Although they're not even close to Walmart's $289 price for Compaq
Presario CQ60-419WM, check out MSI's new C-Series (CX and CR) low budget
notebooks that the company has just announced. We're talking about the
16-inch WXGA CX600, CR600-013 and CR600-017, and the 17.3-inch WXGA++
CX700 and CR700. They all have 4GB of RAM, 320GB of storage space and
run on Intel Pentium Dual Core processors — T4300 @ 2.1GHz for the
CR600-017, while the rest work on T4200 @ 2.0GHz.

The new MSI C-series laptops come with a built-in DVD burner except for
the CR600-017 that comes with a Blu-ray drive, add WiFi b/g/n
connectivity together with gigabit ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports and a
1.3-megapixel camera. They also feature a 6-cell battery and a 4-in-1
card reader, with the CX models featuring ATI's Mobility Radeon HD4330
graphics card, while the CR models have NVIDIA's GeForce 8300M G and an
HDMI port to go along.
Weighing in at 5.47lbs for the 16-inch versionl and 6.61lbs for the
17.3-inch, all models in the C-Series lineup come bundled with Vista
Home Premium and go North of $549.99.
