iRiver E30 Gets Spotted in the Wild Fancy iRiver E30 PMP Spied in China

Chinese folks from PConline got their hands on the cute new iRiver E30
and played with it for a little just to show us what it can do. Slated
as an iPod rival although it covers the lower-end market, the new iRiver
E30 is a minimally-designed flat PMP that measures 89.9 x 42 x 9.8 mm,
features a 1.8-inch color TFT LCD display (220 x 176), adds an
user-customizable equalizer, plays MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC and MJPEG
files, supports SRS WOW HD and adds an FM radio to the whole deal.

iRiver E30 uses a Sigmatel DSP chip which translates in above-average
audio quality, with great vocal tones and low-frequency sounds. Other
than that, the new iRiver E30 brags with its upgraded battery that
supposedly plays audio for nothing less than 52 hours. The new stylish
design adds new rounded corners, concave designed panels (just like
iRiver E150) and touts facial metal shell instead of plastics.

No official word on when iRiver is going to ship the E30 or for how
much, but we're pretty sure the Chinese will set it loose really soon.
