Canon expands its PowerShot Range with six new additions G11, S90, SX20 IS, SX120 IS, SD980 IS, and SD 940IS

Canon has just added to its PowerShot point-and-shoot digital camera
range with six new models — Canon PowerShot G11, S90, SX20 IS,
SX120 IS, SD980 IS, and SD 940IS. First one is Canon G11 supports RAW,
has twin dials for easy ISO access and exposure settings. Under the hood
there's a 10 megapixel sensor, a 2.8-inch vari-angle LCD, 5x optical
zoom and has image-stabilization. The G11 will be available from October
and should cost some $499.99.

There's also Canon S90, a 10MP variant with 10x optical zoom and image
stabilization, a 3-inch LCD and support for an impressive range of
shooting modes that include RAW + JPEG. It should ship from October with
a $429.99 price tag attached.
On the other hand, Canon PowerShot SX20IS has a 12.1 megapixel sensor, a
surreal 20x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization, is
capable of shooting 720p video and has an HDMI port. The SX20Is is
coming early in September for $399.99.

Much like previous models, the 10 megapixel Canon SX120 IS with 10x
optical zoom and again image stabilization. The model runs on AA
batteries and comes with a September release date and a $249.99 price.

Next on the list is the Canon SD980 IS which has a 3-inch rear touch
sensitive LCD and is capable of recording 720p video. The lens does 5x
optical zoom and a 12.1 megapixel sensor. It will be available in
October for $329.99.
Last but not least, Canon PowerShot SD940IS comes with a 12.1 megapixel
sensor, 4x optical zoom and image stabilization. This one comes out in
September for $299.99.
