the mobile industry these days, with more and more companies considering
an Android-based handset. Same goes for the Swedes at Sony Ericsson who
are rumored to be working on a very high-end touchscreen handset
— an XPERIA number codenamed Rachael.
Meant for debut later this year, Sony Ericsson Rachael (not Rachel) is
expected to run on a very high-end 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor,
would boast HSPA-speeds up to 7.2 Mbps, a built-in 8 megapixel camera
with autofocus, a 3.5 jack and a mini-USB connector. Other than all
these, Sony Ericsson's Android smartphone comes complete with a rather
large WVGA touchscreen (800 x 480 pixels), will use Android 2.0 and
should offer great 3D graphics capabilities that will help take on
Apple's new iPhone 3G S.
There are no clues on when the new Sony Ericsson Rachael is going to be
available or how much you'll have to rope for owning one, but we game
for getting our hands on it for some fun.
