Samsung SMX-K40 and SMX-K45 Entry-Level Camcorders Announced HD Video Recording in Your Palm

Samsung is taking on the easy HD concept with their new Samsung SMX-K40
and SMX-K45 entry-level camcorders the company have just announced
today. Both models come in the palmcorder format, can record up to 720 x
480 resolution (that's nearly full-HD video quality), feature 65x
Intelli-Zoom (52x optical zoom) lenses, optical image stabilization to
capture the moment even if your hands are shaking and a HDMI port to
connect to your HDTV.

Although they pack similar features, the difference between the two is
that Samsung SMX-K40 would require you to bring your own SD or SDHC card
and hook it up, while Samsung SMX-K45 comes with a 32 GB SSD to keep
your holiday memories or your voyeurist mountainering. Other than these,
the cameras also pack a 2.7-inch LCD screen, USB charging and
upload-to-YouTube functionality.

Priced at $329.99 and $499.99 for the SSD version, both the Samsung
SMX-K40 and the SMX-K45 are going to start shipping this August.
