iRiver E200 First Details, Specifications & Features Surface Aluminium iRiver E200 PMP

The first, initial details concerning iRiver's up and coming aluminium
E200 portable media player have surfaced. The iRiver E200 PMP, which
serves to build on the success of the iRiver E100, apart from sporting
aluminium construction, comes in at just 9.9mm in thickness (the E100's
depth comes in at 11.3mm) whilst also boasting a larger 2.8 display -
some 0.4 larger than that offered by the E100.

Apart from the iRiver E200's slimmer design and larger 262 color 400 x
300 resolution TFT LCD display, iRiver's latest E-Series PMP comes with
touch sensitive keys and LED lit navigation pad, built-in speaker, FM
radio tuner with recording capabilities, SRS HD WOW support and, in
terms of file format support, all the usual suspects are in evidence -
namely MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, FLAC audio and MPGE4 SP, WM V9 SP, XVID SP,
RM, RMVB video.
With respect to onboard storage capacity, we're yet to see any
particular details, however, the E200 does come with integrated microSD
card slot allowing for up to 8GB of additional 'blot-on' capacity.

Admittedly, notwithstanding its slimmed down form and larger display,
there's not a great deal here to get overly excited about if you happen
to already own an E100 and you're looking to upgrade but, for those
looking for a high-end PMP that offers both OGG and FLAC support, it's
certainly worth consideration though a great deal will hinge on the
E200's price point which, as yet, remains unknown.
