- which, interestingly, will go head to head with Acer’s own Eee
Top all-in-one PCs though, unlike Acer’s Eee Top PCs, the ZX
Series of all-in-ones come without touchscreen interfaces.
The new Acer-Gateway ZX Series All-in-One Desktop PC, which comes with a
18.5″ 16:9 aspect ratio LCD display offering up to 1366 x 768
resolution, is powered by a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon 2650e CPU paired with
onboard ATI X1200 graphics and sports 1GB DDR2 SDRAM, a 160GB 7200rpm
HDD, a 16X Lightscribe DVD writer and, naturally, sports the obligatory
VGA webcam and microphone.
Additionally, you can factor in a 10-in-1 media card reader, IEEE
802.11b/g wireless and 10/100 LAN connectivity, inbuilt 2 channel HD
audio and, in terms of outputs, there’s a side mounted USB 2.0
port supplemented by 4 x USB 2.0 rear mounted ports, headphone and
microphone jacks, 2x PS/2 ports as well as and RJ45 connection.
No word as yet concerning either shipping dates or pricing.
