Sanyo Announce New Xacti DMX-HD800 720p 8MP HD AVCHD Camcorder

Sanyo has taken the wraps of its new Xacti DMX-HD800 HD camcorder which
will serve to supersede Xacti DMX-HD700 and which, apart from offering
720p HD (1280×720) resolution video capture at 30fps (in AVC/H.264
format) as well as 8 megapixel stills capabilities courtesy of a
1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor also comes with Sanyo's 3DDNR filter - as
originally featured on the full HD DMX-HD1010 - promising enhanced noise
reduction as well as 5x optical zoom (12x digital) and an enhanced 'face
chaser' function capable of detecting up to 12 faces when in both stills
capture and video modes.Other notable features of Sanyo's Xacti
DMX-HD800 include digital image stabilisation, up to ISO1800
sensitivity, intuitive drag and drop file transfer from the DMX-HD800 to
your PC, a 2.7' LCD screen and support for SD/SDHC memory cards offering
up to 32GB of storage capacity and an optional AV kit to allow for
direct connection of the DMX-HD800 to HDTV units.Measuring in at 73.7 35
109mm and weighing just 220g complete with lithium-ion battery - which
offers a purported endurance of around 90 minutes of footage capture
based on a full charge - Sanyo's new DMX-HD800 is set to become
available from August 22 in Japan in black, gold and pink flavours
though at the time of writing Sanyo have not seen fit to offer pricing
details or, for that matter, details concerning its international
release schedule.
