Microsoft USB Fingerprint Reader #Log In With The touch Of A Finger#

Let's be honest here, typing in passwords is a pain - especially if you
seemingly have hundreds of them - but thankfully Microsoft have almost*
come to the rescue with their new Microsoft USB Fingerprint Reader which
will negate the need to type out all those passwords with just the
touching of a finger on its reader pad with what could be termed as a
touch and go procedure (which is sure to appeal to all those pilots out
there).

Microsoft USB Fingerprint Reader Key Features:

Convenience with Windows Vista Features - Fingerprint Reader and Windows
Vista help you get the most out of your PC by making features like
parental controls more convenient.
Fingerprint Reader Technology - Say goodbye to passwords'"now you can
log on to your PC and access favorite Web sites with the touch of your
finger
Easy PC User Switching - Switch users with the touch of a finger, simply
pace your finger on the reader when a username and password or required.
Export Your Passwords - Easily export all your saved passwords with the
latest version of Fingerprint Reader software .

There is, however, one small but not insignificant fly in the ointment
which Microsoft have thankfully detailed in especially small print
tucked away at the bottom of the product page which reads 'Should not
be used as the only means to protect sensitive data like financial
information or accessing corporate networks.' Incidentally, we should
also add that the device is not compatible with the 64-bit edition of Vista.

Fear not, though, because we have the answer. Simply password protect
use of and access to this device. Sorted. That's (MS) progress for you.
