LumiSource Fire Volcano Electra Lamp [Ambient Themed Lighting For Volcanologists]

It's good to see that in a world where we are increasingly catering for
niche groups that those chaps with tangled beards who have an unusual
penchant for all things corduroy (preferably in a subtle beige) and who
live there lives around the study of the Earth's spasmodic ejaculations
of molten rock are also being catered for - exhibit A being this
(gloriously tacky) LumiSource Fire Volcano Electra Lamp.
Yes, if you happen to be a volcanologist looking for a little ambient
lighting to 'put you in the mood' (queue your favourite Barry White
album) this Fire Volcano Electra Lamp will undoubtedly set (only your)
pulses racing with its 'dripping lava flow' and eerie reddish glow. And,
for extra authenticity, why not set your sofa on fire and throw a couple
of bags of charcoal randomly around your room (Mrs. Volcanologist - who
may or may not have a beard as well - is sure to be impressed to the
point at which you could, if you play your cards right, see a little
eruption of your own).

The LumiSource Fire Volcano Electra Lamp retails for just shy of $35.
Next week we'll feature a flooring solution for Geologists studying
tectonics - basically a series of floorboards that keep moving and ever
so often collide with such impact that you could almost cut yourself
shaving (not that you do shave, of course). Apparently they're so cool
they're positively 'seismic' (as opposed to this Moon Light aimed
squarely at astrologists which is positively cosmic).
