Dell Offers Designer Graffiti Special Artwork on Dell Inspiration 1525 Laptops Courtesy of Mike Ming

Dell have announced that, thanks to a collaboration with Brooklyn based
artist Mike Ming, their Inspiration 1525 laptops are now available with
exclusive artwork adorning the laptop covers resulting in what Dell
describe as ‘a fluid, graffiti-inspired tattoo effect that lets
style pioneers add another level of individuality to everyday life'.

Ed Boyd, vice president of Consumer Experience Design at Dell,
introduced the new Special Art Edition Inspiron 1525 laptops stating,
'Our customers have asked that we continue to look at other areas of
life, apart from technology, to help bring a sense of uniqueness to
their computers'ฆMike Ming and the other artists in the series represent
the shift in the level of customer design input, a trend we're excited
to see continue.'

Interestingly - do excuse us for quibbling - these Special Art Edition
Inspiron 1525 laptops appear not to limited editions so quite how
'unique' these laptops are is highly disputable (though perhaps Dell
have a somewhat differing definition of the tem 'unique' when applying
it to a mass produced consumer items).

Still, if you consider yourself to be a true 'style pioneer' we don't
doubt that these 'unique' mass produced Art Edition Inspiron 1525's,
which come in 'Bunch O Surfers' and 'Sea Sky' flavours may appeal
considering unit pricing starts at a mere $699.

Alternatively, of course, you could always opt for a Mac and
consequently set about patronising anyone seen carrying one of these on
account of you having purchased a sense of true individuality. Or you
could just get a marker pen and sign your name on the shell of your
laptop. Sorted.
