" CDX-GT920U CDX-GT620U " Sony Unveil New Xplod In-Car CD Players with Emphasis on Digital Media Support

Sony has unveiled two new Xplod in-car CD audio systems in the form of
the Xplod CDX-GT920U and the Xplod CDX-GT620U in-dash units, both of
which have been designed from the ground up very much with digital media
in mind in offering a host of digital audio file format support as well
as sporting integrated USB ports.

Featuring Sony's Quick BrowZer technology offering intuitive playlist
navigation, both the CDX-GT920U and CDX-GT620U, as well as featuring a
USB port, offer MP3, non-DRM AAC and non-DRM WMA playback via both CD
and the aforementioned USB flash memory drives and also come with a
faceplate mounted aux input allowing you to hook you your portable
digital media players with ease. The higher priced CDX-GT920U also comes
with iPod, HD Radio and satellite radio compatibility.

Sony Xplod CDX-GT620U

The CDX-GT920U head unit also features a motorized fold-out detachable
faceplate and switchable blue, green and red key illumination on a large
full-motion florescent display - (the CDX-GT620U's head unit comes with
a flip-down detachable faceplate). Whilst the CDX-GT920U also sports
multi-line display offers smooth, clean, solid movement of graphics and
a higher resolution at 30 x 39 DPI and eight degrees of contrast for
improved readability as opposed to the CDX-GT620U's black LED display -
as can be seen courtesy of the supplied imagery.

Sony's Xplod CDX-GT620U has just been made available for around $170
which the somewhat more desirable CDX-GT920U is detailed as becoming
available in June for around $250.
