Apple iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware Released Touch software Update Live Via App Store

Back in March we posted about Apple's 2.0 firmware update for their iPod
Touch and, after what seems like an eternity of waiting, the 2.0 Touch
software update is now available for download via Apple's App Store
though its release will do nothing to stem the bitterness of Touch
owners who are being asked to part with money in order to access the
upgrade.

Touch 2.0 Firmware Key Features:

Push Email with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
Improved Mail Attachment Viewing
New Mail Management Features
Updated Language and Keyboard Support
Contacts Search
Multiple Calendars
Scientific Calculator

Apple's iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware Update will set you back $9.95 though,
at the time of writing, we have been unable to access the page via the
iTunes link due, we suspect, to either teething troubles or particularly
heavy demand. Incidentally we should add that if you have not already
gained the January software update this is also included in this
download though, if you have previously paid out $30 for this previous
update we're fairly sure that this will serve to make you all the more
annoyed regarding Apple's Touch update policies - and, frankly, who
could blame you?
