monster Lego set and this ToyQuest Touch Table Electronic Education
System I know which one I'd opt for, but then things have changed since
I've grown up and now it seems that children are never truly happy
unless they're playing around with some hi-tech gizmo - be it making
their very first mobile call before they have even learned to walk or
killing and maiming just about anything that moves (with that unsettling
glint in their eye) as they play the latest gaming consoles.
The ToyQuest Touch Table EES is, in essence, a swivelling upward facing
21' TV with touchscreen capabilities that comes pre-loaded with a host
or games and educational software from bowling to trivia games,
on-screen art programs and photo organisation applications and even a
video encyclopaedia and a Google Earth style mapping program with which
children can verse themselves with the world at large. And, if children
get board of the onboard games the ToyQuest Touch Table EES also comes
with an integral DVD complimented by integral speaker units and a
built-in Wii games console dock.
The ToyQuest Touch Table EES is due for general release this Autumn and
is expected to retail for around $500 (for which you could get almost
two whole sets of Lego at today's prices).
