Ripple-Mini Ultra Small Mini-ITX Form Factor Computer Hits Korea

Ultra small form factor computers have never quite taken off to the
degree that was initially anticipated, though the likes of Shuttle have,
in fairness, made considerable inroads, but this Ripple-Mini computer
based on the diminutive Mini-ITX form factor is, we are certain, due to
cause a considerable stir - though quite whether we'll ever see it
outside of Korea is unfortunately somewhat doubtful.

The underlying premise of ultra small form factor computers is, of
course, to design computers that we as consumers are all too happy to
display in our front rooms along with our array of AV equipment and, in
this respect, the Ripple-Mini computer certainly ticks all the right
boxes with its simple, minimalist design elegance.

As far as specifications go, the Ripple-Mini, which measures in at a
mere 120×300x220mm, boasts an Intel M215 1.33GHz processor with
512KB cache, a D201 GLY Intel motherboard, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a SiS 662
Northbridge and SiS 964L South Bridge, 2 USB 2.0 ports as well as Mic
in, and line out/headphone sockets and, whilst the specifications of the
Ripple-Mini may not exactly have induced involuntary palpitations as you
read this, the price just might - which, at the time of writing, equates
to around โ�ฌ90 / $132 / pound sterling67. (We'll give you a moment to
pick yourself off the floor).

Don't expect the Ripple-Mini outside of Korea any time soon/at all, ever.
