Nokia Intros 3G N5320 & N5220 XpressMusic Cell Phones [Nokia Bland Handset Range Swells]

Whenever Nokia lacks inspiration it has no qualms in releasing
particularly bland handsets to the point whereby it almost seems as if
Nokia have a yearly quota in terms of especially dull handsets that they
feel wholly obliged to fulfil and, in this respect, we can at least take
solace in the fact that the release of these two new handsets, the N5320
and N5220, means that Nokia ought to have met its allocation concerning
dull handsets for this quarter.

Capable but eminently forgettable, the 3G N5320 - described in Nokia's
press release as sporting 'dynamic design' - offers dedicated media and
N-Gage gaming keys, up to 24 hours of playback endurance and up to 8GB
of internal storage capacity and Nokia's 'Say & Play' technology
facilitating voice controlled playlists whilst the N5220 - described as
offering 'edgy, unique design' - swaps HSDPA for a built-in lanyard
making 'the device easy to carry anywhere'.

Nokia describes both handsets as sporting 'the most fresh, stylish
designs on the market'. We beg to differ and we suspect that the likes
of Samsung and LG, to name but two, may also have something to say about
this (once they can bring themselves to stop smirking).

Nokia's N5320 and N5220 XpressMusic cell phones will become available in
the third quarter of 2008 and will retail for around 220 and 160
respectively.
