Casio 8.1 Megapixel EXILIM Zoom EX-Z9 Compact Digital Camera Hitting US Market

Casio's latest model in its highly popular EXLIM range of compact
digital cameras, the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z9, which offers 8.1 megapixel
resolution, face detection technology and 3X optical zoom is due to hit
the US right about now - just don’t expect us to get excited about it.

Available in four colour schemes, theCasio 8.1 Megapixel EXILIM Zoom
EX-Z9 8.1MP compact digital camera comes with 2.6' LCD display, the
afore mentioned face detection technology and 3X optical zoom, digital
anti-shake technology and 23 'Best shot' modes; which confirms what we
initially assumed - that being that this colourful camera is aimed
squarely the casual snapper/point and shoot market for whom the colour
of their camera is more than probably the primary concern (as well as
the fact that its got 'a hole in the front').

Coming with a poultry and wholly pathetic 18.6 MB of internal storage
(Casio might as well not have bothered) thankfully the meagre storage
space on offer is expandable courtesy of an integrated SD/SDHC/MMC
memory card slot and you get all this for around $160.

We're completely, utterly and unashamedly under whelmed.
