If you don't need text labels or links in your Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar, you can free up quite a bit of space for your browsing window. To turn off the text labels, run Microsoft Internet Explorer (this example is based on IE 6).
Right-click in the toolbar and choose Customize.
When the Customize Toolbar dialog box opens, click the arrow at the right side of the Text Options list box and choose No text labels. From the Icon Options list box, choose Small Icons. Click Close to dismiss the dialog box. To remove the Links toolbar, choose ViewToolbarsLinks. This is a toggle command, so you can repeat to turn Links on again
