Ricoh GR Digital III Camera 10-Megapixel CCD, Wide-Angle 28mm F1.9 GR Lens

It was announced today that camera manufacturers Ricoh have added an
updated model to their GR series of digital cameras with the
third-generation Ricoh GR Digital III model. The new model sports a new
wide-angle 28mm F1.9 GR lens, 10-megapixel CCD and Ricoh's GR Engine III
image processor. With this latest model of digital point-and-shoot
camera Ricoh has promised the lowest ever ISO sensitivity of any of its
GR-series digital cameras, plus minimal color aberration thanks to three
special low-dispersion lenses.

The new Ricoh GR III digital camera has the same megapixel count as its
older brother the GR II but shows it up with an increased sensitivity
(double that of the GR II). Ricoh claims that ISO 200 on the GR III
behaves like ISO 100 on the GR II. Other features include pre-autofocus,
which tracks subject movement even if the shutter release button isn't
being depressed, and a quick-shoot mode which allows you to quickly snap
a picture without having to wait for the camera's focus lock to initiate.

The Ricoh GR Digital II appears to be a solid model with plenty of bells
and whistles. Other specs include the ability to record 640 x 480 30fps
video, a 3-in VGA preview display and an SDHC card slot. Images can be
saved in JPEG or RAW format. The Ricoh GR Digital III is expected to go
on sale in the UK mid-August and will be priced at 530GBP ($873).
